Luke Tiull, a 13-year-old teenager, is not at all like his peers. While many of his classmates are obsessed with social networks, video games and trendy gadgets, Luke buildsā¦ houses.
A real, full-fledged house that he built in the backyard of his parentsā property.
This project was not just a pastime for him, but a real dream come true. The cost of construction was $1,500, but for Luke, this is not just a sum ā it is the result of long work and perseverance.
One day, Luke realized that he wanted to have his own space.
But instead of dreaming, he decided to take action. He studied tiny house architecture, was inspired by other peopleās stories, and moved step by step towards his goal.
It took him a year to raise the money. To save up, he worked part-time mowing laws, ran errands for neighbors, and even organized an online fundraiser.
However, building a house is not only about buying materials, but also about difficult work.
Many of the building materials he found in his grandmotherās house, and the front door was a gift from a friend of his uncleās. So about 75% of the materials were recycled ā Luke not only built, but also cared about the environment.
This 89 square feet (approximately 8 square meters) mini house has become a true sanctuary.
Inside, there is everything you need: a cozy attic with a bed, a TV, a microwave. Electricity is installed, but there is no running water yet, so he still has to think about a sink and a shower.
Next to the house, Luke has set up a small barbecue area ā a place where he can gather with friends and have a good time.
Luke has no plans to stop. He is already thinking about building another, larger home when he goes to college.
