After losing my husband George, I was left grieving and holding onto his memory. Our relationship with his daughter, Susan, was once loving, but it changed when George was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She stopped visiting, and when he passed, she didn’t even come to the funeral, citing her newborn as an excuse. Months later, Susan and her husband arrived demanding I sign papers transferring George’s assets to them. I refused, and she cruelly called me “not her real mother.”
Heartbroken, I eventually gave in and sought legal advice, only to discover George had transferred everything to me before his death. Susan was furious when she found out, but I calmly reminded her that I had simply given her what she wanted—her father’s assets.
I sold everything, bought a villa, and started a new life. Despite Susan’s continued attempts to cause trouble, I found peace. The past was behind me, and I was determined to live my life as George would have wanted.
