Rejoice, Suits fans; the news we’ve all been waiting for is here.
As of today, it has been confirmed that Gabriel Macht, the man who played Harvey Specter in Suits, is coming back to the role.
Macht, who also served as an executive producer throughout the show, will play the dashing lawyer once again in the upcoming spin-off Suits: LA.
The actor was the co-lead of the legal drama for the first eight seasons of the show, taking on the role of sole lead for the final season, when Patrick J Adams and Meghan Markle departed.

Last we saw the suave professional, he was heading off into the sunset with Sarah Rafferty’s Donna to join Patrick J Adams, AKA Mike, in Seattle, having left the law firm the show is based around.
And it’s now been confirmed that Macht’s character will be making an appearance in the spin-off, which was commissioned after the show’s second life on Netflix.
Starring Stephen Amell, Harvey will be joining the show in a limited role for a three-episode arc.
Deadline’s report says of his return: “Macht’s stint is a guest arc and is not a precursor to him potentially joining Suits LA full-time.”
Amell’s protagonist, Ted Black, is a former prosecutor, with Deadline stating this is how Harvey will be introduced into the show.
Macht’s Specter’s backstory is similarly one of previously being a criminal prosecutor before moving into corporate law.
This is confirmed by Macht posting the below video on Instagram with the caption: “When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very ‘things’ right.”
The video plays the show’s iconic opening theme, which will be familiar to many Netflix bingers.
Suits broke records in 2023, with 57.7 billion minutes of viewing on the streamer.
This is the most any show has been watched in a single year on Netflix, which led to the spin-off being announced almost five years on from the end of the original show.
Deadline’s synopsis for the spin-off Suits: LA reads:
“Suits: L.A centers on Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself by representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles.
“His firm is at a crisis point, and to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.
“Ted is surrounded by a group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other and they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.
“All this happens while the show slowly unravels the events that years ago led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved to start all over.”
More to come.

Although the original series by Aaron Korsh ended in 2019, the show reportedly remained as one of the most-watched series of 2023, racking up more than three billion views over seven consecutive weeks.
The hit legal drama was watched for a total of 57.7 billion minutes on Netflix last year, beating The Office‘s previous record of 57.1 billion minutes, set in 2020.
The all-star cast also includes Meghan Markle as Rachel Zane, Sarah Rafferty as Donna Paulsen and Rick Hoffman as Louis Litt.
On the show’s resurgence on Netflix, Patrick J. Adams told E! News: “I’m totally astounded it’s found a second life. I feel honoured.

“When you walk away from a show, you think that’s it and you’re going to move on to something else and just to know that a whole new generation of people are finding it and loving it – loving it almost more than they loved it the first time around, it’s incredible.”
On top of sharing his appreciation for the new fans, the actor said he would love to see the inside of a courtroom again alongside his cast mates – especially Markle.
Adams said: “I think Meghan is a fantastic actress. We’d be lucky to have her back in the industry.”
Discussing the prospect of a spin-off series focusing on the on-screen couple’s new life, he said: “Let’s go, I’d do it. I’m ready. Mike and Rachel in Seattle.”

Now, Suits viewers will be delighted to know that spin-off series Suits: L.A. is officially in the works.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has ordered a pilot for a companion series.
The programme will reportedly follow brand new character, Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor who moves his high-powered practice from New York to LA.
Suits creator Korsh will return to write the pilot alongside original producers Doug Liman, Dave Bartis and Gene Klein.
Filming is currently scheduled to take place in March in Vancouver, however, there are no casting details yet.
We’re not sure who, if any, of the old cast will return.

The official Suits: L.A. synopsis from NBC reads: “His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.
“Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.
“All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”

Unless it’s really special, a show that wrapped up five years ago after a decade on screen would most likely be on the scrapheap, as viewers have long moved on and are engrossed by another new series.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m watching Prison Break for the umpteenth time and loving every minute of it all over again, but Michael Scofield surely doesn’t have another grand escape in him. So, I’ve come to terms with the fact it’s over.
But luckily, my next favourite series – which comes in at a close second – could still have some juice to squeeze out of it yet.
Thanks to its renewed popularity on Netflix, Suits could be making a reappearance on our screens.
It has been smashing streaming ratings ever since it arrived on Netflix, reportedly racking up more than 3 billion views each week while dominating the charts.
If you need a reminder on what the nine seasons of Suits is about, the official synopsis reads: “After impressing a slick lawyer with his razor-sharp mind, a college dropout scores a coveted associate job, even though he has no legal credentials.”

Fans were left satisfied with the heartwarming ending, which aired in 2019, but they certainly wouldn’t mind revisiting the beloved characters five years on from the finale.
Spoiler alert, but; Louis and Sheila got hitched and had a baby, Harvey and Donna got engaged and had a shotgun wedding, while Mike and Rachel set up a new life in Seattle running their own law firm.
It was the beginning of an end, but even the real life Mike Ross wants to see what would be happening these days.
Patrick J. Adams, who played the protagonist, said he was buzzing that Netflix viewers had breathed new life into Suits.
He told E! News: “I’m totally astounded it’s found a second life. I feel honoured.

Titled Suits: LA, the series is set to be spearheaded by a familiar face to many.
If you’re up for a bit of nostalgia, watch the trailer for Suits season 8 below:
The spinoff to the critically acclaimed series has announced that Stephen Amell will play Ted Black, described by NBC as ‘a charismatic force of nature who puts his own needs above others.’
Stephen Amell is best known for his time on CW series Arrow, based on DC comics character Green Arrow, where he plays the titular character.
Arrow ran from 2012-2020, spanning eight seasons, averaging high scores of 85% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes for seven of the eight seasons.
Playing Oliver Queen, a billionaire playboy turned vigilante known initially as ‘Hood’ and later ‘Arrow’, Amell largely received praise for his execution of the character throughout the series.

A Suits spinoff pilot was confirmed by NBC earlier this month, with the original series continuing to perform well on streaming platforms.
The legal drama was watched by viewers for a total of 57.7 billion minutes on Netflix in 2023, beating out The Office’s old record of 57.1 billion minutes set in 2020, a figure boosted by the pandemic, no doubt.
The new programme will follow new character Ted Black, who is a former federal prosecutor who moves his powerful practice from New York to Los Angeles.
Hence the series name.
Black’s firm is in crisis as he re-locates and has to take up a role he has despised his entire career in order to survive.
While this happens, events from previous years become revealed, offering an explanation as to why Ted left everything he knew and loved behind in New York.
In even more good news for Suits fans, creator Aaron Korsh is set to return to write the pilot episode with original producers Doug Liman, Dave Bartis and Gene Klein.
Netflix
Beatrice Springborn, president of Universal International Studios and UCP, stated that the spinoff will be part of the same universe as the original, featuring ‘the same energy and good looking people that the original did.’
“It is amazing looking people in great clothes but at the core of it you can’t have a show that’s successful with just that,” Springborn said last November.
“It has to have great storytelling and great character work. So how do you do something that can be ongoing, have a gloss to it and be a continuing series that everyone wants?”

The newly-released series titled Berlin follows the earlier stages of the titular character of the same name (played by Pedro Alonso) who attempts one of his most extraordinary heists yet.
Take a look at the trailer below:
Alonso’s character is tasked with assembling a gang in Paris with the aim of stealing 44 million euros’ worth of jewels in one night.
Their aim is to somehow steal 63 royal jewels from 34 cities… all in one day.
The series, which takes place in Paris, was filmed in the French city and Madrid.
As fans of the original show will remember, a group of strangers get together to rob the Royal Mint of Spain with a plan created by the Professor (Álvaro Morte) and executed by Berlin.
Netflix
Money Heist creator Álex Pina yet again leads the charge, as does Sky Rojo collaborator Esther Martínez Lobato.
“It’s a trip through the golden age of the character, when he robbed around Europe crazy in love,” Pina explained to Netflix.
Viewers have been promised tension, travel, romance and humour, with Pina telling Alonso: “That’s the most surprising, the comedy. You’re going to make people laugh a lot.”
Joining Alonso is Michelle Jenner as Keila, Tristán Ulloa as Damián, Begoña Vargas as Cameron, Julio Peña as Roi and Joel Sánchez as Bruce.
Overall, the reviews seem pretty positive so far, as one fan wrote: “I’m finding Berlin more intriguing and interesting than Money Heist!”
A second gushed: “Money Heist: Berlin is out I’m AWAKE!”
While a third chimed in: “Money Heist: Berlin is out and I’m locked in.”
“Woke up and instantly turned on Berlin. If you watched Money Heist you already know,” quipped a fourth.
Netflix
However, there does seem to be one common complaint as Netflix has changed the original English voice actor from Money Heist.
“Was really looking forward to Berlin on Netflix but the changed the English voice actor from Money Heist and now I can’t watch it,” one wrote.
“They really changed the voice actor for Berlin in the new money heist spin off and idk why,” another added.
“I’ve been rewatching Money Heist cuz I felt like it with no idea that they’re dropping a Berlin spin off show today. Please can someone tell me WHY THEY CHANGED HIS VOICE ACTOR. He sounds stupid,” someone else said.
All eight episodes of Berlin are available to watch on Netflix now.
