A Texas couple decides to adopt seven Filipino siblings in order to ensure that they all grow up together.

After being forced to live apart for more than two years, an American couple took the incredible and courageous decision to adopt seven Filipino siblings.

To keep all seven of their children together, Chris and Jessica Milam of Denton County, Texas, adopted them. The youngsters, who ranged in age from five to twelve, lived all throughout the state of Texas and, as a result of their distance from one another, had little opportunity to interact.

Jessica stated to Fox 4 News:

After reading their profiles, I immediately thought, ‘Oh, these are the kids for us.’” They had a deep affection for nature, animals, and crafts. We recently moved into an empty house. We knew we had the space because we built a house to house children. It’s a little bit easier to care for seven children of different ages because we work for ourselves.”

On June 8, the family formally adopted the seven children following an arduous eight-month legal process. The judge’s words:

“I’m going to discover that the adoption is advantageous for these kids. I’ll approve the name change, approve the adoption, and seal the document. Congratulations.

Jessica also said:

“They all asked if they could just come today and come home with you. They were attempting to come sooner through negotiation. In addition to being thrilled to be together, they were also thrilled to have parents who would be their parents for eternity. They were debating when they would be able to arrive.

The reporter covering the story was informed by one of the adoptees:

It implies that we will be there indefinitely. Until we are grownups and able to care for ourselves, our family will be there to look for us.”

The majority of the almost half a million children in the foster care system in the US require a stable, supportive home setting.
