Seraphina Rose, the 15-year-old daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, gave birth to a new name at the funeral for Garner’s father, William Jack Garner, who died in April 2024 at the age of 85.
The middle child of Affleck and Garner said, “Hello, my name is Fin Affleck,” before reading Chapter 16, Verse 8 of the Book of Proverbs, which reads, “Better is a little with righteousness, than a large income with injustice.” The service was streamed live on the West Virginia church’s Facebook page.

Fin had a short haircut, a black tie, a white shirt, and a suit.
Fin was discovered by the paparazzi in February of last year, with a rucksack bearing the word “Fin” sewn on it.
As anticipated, the public’s attention was drawn to the gender reveal, and comments poured in.

Their children, Fin and Emme, who use gender-neutral pronouns, grew close after Affleck married Jennifer Lopez and were frequently photographed together.
During a surprise duet at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala in June 2022, Lopez referred to her daughter, whom she shares with singer Mark Anthony, using the pronouns “them” and “they.”
Fin is only one of many famous people’s offspring that are undergoing identity changes.
