Having appeared on the show herself back in 2017, Vardy has shared a simple response after one of the stars made a ‘Wagatha Christie’ joke.
This, of course, comes as her rival WAG, Coleen Rooney, is part of this year’s line-up roughing it in the Australian jungle on ITV.
And it led to Rooney being branded as our very own ‘Wagatha’ for her iconic ‘detective’ skills.
So, as she appeared on I’m A Celeb last night (17 November), it felt like only a matter of time until someone made a joke about it. Welcome Dean McCullough.
During the mega opening trial, the BBC Radio 1 DJ was left with a choice between Rooney and his colleague, Melvin Odoom. In a bit of a BBC betrayal, he apologised to his fellow presenter because he couldn’t ignore the choice before him.

“WAGATHA CHRISTIE YOU’RE COMING WITH MEEEEEEE!” he shouted as he ran away, holding hands with the 38-year-old.
Rooney did give a bit of a shake of the head as she joined her new campmate who hadn’t even given much of a ‘hello Coleen’ before launching straight into the nickname.
Ant and Dec even got involved with a few jokes (of course), including: “It’ll be nice for Coleen to face a trial that doesn’t involve Rebekah Vardy.”
Let’s be honest though, plenty of us were expecting some level of references to her rivalry and Vardy has jumped straight on it.
The 42-year-old shared a snap from her own stint in the jungle, bathing in her bikini.

She wrote alongside it: “That feeling when you are living rent free in people’s heads [laughing emojis].”
Vardy then followed this up with a video of Donald Trump talking about facing hate as the President-elect said: “That feeling when you are living rent free in people’s heads [laughing emojis].”
The WAG has been named as The Sun’s I’m A Celeb columnist for the season, so it’s fair to say this probably isn’t the last time she’ll be making some digs at the stars.

She’s apparently going to be the highest paid celebrity ever to go on the show, provided of course she actually stays in the jungle long enough to be eligible for her appearance fee.
Of course with the first episode of I’m A Celeb a lot of the drama is focused on finding increasingly dynamic ways to get the celebrities into the camp.
A whole bunch of contestants had to skydive onto a beach and then partner up with another celebrity to run through the jungle with, and Rooney ended up being picked by Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough.
It had come down to a choice for McCullough between picking Rooney and fellow radio star Melvin Odoom, and it seems like there wasn’t much choice in his mind.
Sorry, Melvin… (ITV)
“Melvin, I’m so, so sorry,” the Radio 1 presenter said as he ran towards the pair with both arms outstretched, only to clasp the hands of Coleen Rooney instead of his colleague before he ran away with her shouting.
“WAGATHA CHRISTIE YOU’RE COMING WITH MEEEEEEE!”
There wasn’t so much as a ‘hello Coleen’ from the disk jockey before he grabbed her hands and shouted the nickname she was given after all that stuff with Rebekah Vardy at the top of his lungs.
Rooney gave a slight shake of the head as they ran off into the jungle together, leaving poor Melvin standing on the beach by himself.
Hopefully, she won’t have to be referred to by ‘Wagatha Christie’ throughout the entirety of I’m A Celeb, though you’d expect a bunch of the campmates are going to ask her about it over the course of the show.

Rooney seems all set for a long stint in the jungle, having left some clear instructions on what the kids need to be doing at all times while she’s away.
Explaining the whole thing in a video before she left, Rooney explained that her children ‘asked me for so many years now’ whether she’d go on I’m A Celeb and she finally said yes.
She said: “Don’t get me wrong. I am really anxious about leaving the kids. That’s my biggest thing, and for weeks and months that’s been on my mind, but I’ve come to terms with it.
“I’ve planned, I’ve prepped. I’ve got an army of people, family, friends, school friends all helping out with the kids, so they are going to be fine, and they are probably going to have a great time when I’m away.”

The infamous ‘Wagatha Christie’ case in 2022 came after Rooney accused Rebekah Vardy on social media of leaking her private information to the press.
Although Vardy sued her for libel, in July 2022 the court said Rooney’s allegation was ‘substantially true’, and ordered Vardy to pay 90 percent of her costs, including an initial payment of £800,000.

With Rooney set to enter the jungle on Sunday (17 November), the wife of Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy has told The Sun what she thinks about her endeavour.
“Everyone seems to think I have this massive problem with Coleen going into the jungle,” Vardy, who appeared on I’m A Celeb in 2017, said.
“But do you know what? If you want to fan the fire, the flames are going to get higher.
“I wasn’t going to carry on talking about this, I had no intention of talking about it, but she clearly can’t let it go.
“I mean, we’ve done a book, we’ve done a documentary, we’re going into the jungle. What’s next — Dancing On Ice?
“She’s following in my footsteps. I think she always wanted my life.”
But wait, there’s more.
“Coleen’s legal team were very dismissive about my reality TV past. They mocked it,” she added.

“So for her to be doing the jungle now, it’s hypocrisy at its finest, isn’t it?
“I think there was always a plan for reinvention. She stayed out of the public eye for so long.
“There were so many stories, negative stories, about Wayne. And I think she wanted to turn things around for herself.
“We’ve gone from a person about whom her legal team stood up in court and said, ‘She’s such a private individual’, and now this so-called private individual is going on one of the biggest reality TV shows in the UK. I mean, it’s ironic really.”
Meanwhile, Rooney said she has been asked ‘year after year’ to go on the ITV programme, and that it’s normally ‘a straight no’.
“Over the years, there have been different things going on in my life, and also, my children have been really young. But they are at an age now where I can go away for this length of time,” she explained.
“I also feel it’s time to have a challenge for me, and do something different. It has taken many, many years but I’m finally doing it.
“I have always said if I was going to do one, then it would be this show. I think it will be good for me.”
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! starts on Sunday 17 September at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is just hours away, as a whole host of new celebrities ditch their luxury lifestyles to camp under the stars, take part in terrifying challenges and eat creepy crawlies.
This year, the likes of GK Barry, Dean McCullough, Tulisa and none other than Coleen Rooney will be arriving in Australia to take part.

WAG and showbiz ‘detective’ Coleen has spoken out about her appearance on the show ahead of the series starting.
Coleen, 38, revealed how she had ‘prepared’ to leave her kids, announcing for the first time: “I can confirm, I am going in the jungle,” adding: “Do you know what, they’ve asked me for so many years now and I’ve just always said ‘no’ or put it off.”
“Don’t get me wrong. I am really anxious about leaving the kids. That’s my biggest thing, and [sic] for weeks and months that’s been on my mind, but I’ve come to terms with it,” she added.
“I’ve planned, I’ve prepped. I’ve got an army of people, family, friends, school friends all helping out with the kids, so they are going to be fine, and they are probably going to have a great time when I’m away.”

Coleen also spoke about her marriage ahead of going into the jungle, but explained that since Wayne started managing Plymouth Argyle, their time together has been limited.
“Wayne comes back once a week, sometimes twice, depending on the fixtures,” Coleen told the Mail on Sunday.
“Usually, he has Sunday off so he might come home. What’s good about the championship is that a lot of games are closer to me, closer to home, up in the North. So he’ll come home on a Saturday evening and spend Sunday with us, depending on what the boys have got on.
“Time together is limited, more so than ever now because of the travelling and stuff.”

For those living under a rock, ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! sees celebrities left in a jungle to fend for themselves all the while completing grim challenges to try and earn comforts for their camp, and stay in the show long enough to win.
The show is now a core part of British culture, with a multitude of huge names having appeared on there.
Each year for the last seven, the show has kicked off by having the cast members suspended 314 feet in the air in the Walk the Plank challenge.
This saw them hanging from the Focus building in Brisbane and having to either press a button, grab a flag, or hang over the side.
For all of us scared of heights (the most logical fear if you ask me) it was always a great reminder of the fact that, despite the mountain of money the top stars get for the show, it is still a deeply unpleasant experience.

This year though, they will be firmly on level ground, and instead of being hung off the side of a building, they will be getting some absolutely vile concoctions down their necks.
Contestants entering the villa were made to take on a ‘drinking challenge’ according to OK Magazine.
This was not the kind you may be thinking of, with no beer pong brought out, but instead they will be forced to swig a drink made up of a blended bull’s penis, fish eyes, and a ‘garnish of vomit fruit’.
Appetising.
In addition to this, an opening challenge will reportedly see the camp split into two, with both groups racing to camp.
One team featured Jane Moore, Dean McCullough, Danny Jones, Tulisa, and Oti Mabuse, while the other was made up of remaining contestants Coleen, Alan Halsall, Barry McGuigan, GK Barry, and Melvin Odoom

The show looks set to continue to produce bizarre moments, because who really thought they’d see Wagatha Christie, GK Barry, and Barry McGuigan all having a natter.
Joining the cast is set to be a pair of ‘late additions’ to the camp, in Love Island alum Maura Higgins and radio presenting priest Richard Coles.
