adult – quiet, gentle, perfect for coziness. But from the very first night, I sensed something was wrong.
Instead of curling up in its new soft bed, the cat stood frozen at the bedroom door. It stood like a guard, eyes fixed on us. Eventually, I felt sorry for it and allowed it to lie beside me. That’s when the strange
things began. Each day, it became harder to breathe. My throat burned, as if torn from the inside. The
doctor assured me: I had no cat allergy. One night, I woke up and nearly screamed. The cat was sitting directly on my chest, staring at me as if waiting for something. I froze in fear. From then on, I decided I
needed to find out the truth.
😨😵 I set up a camera in the bedroom. And what I saw on the recording made my blood run cold…
Every night, the same thing happened. The cat would come, lie on my chest, and begin to purr loudly.
At first, it seemed amusing, but soon I woke up more and more often with the sensation of pressure on my throat. I couldn’t breathe, as if invisible hands were choking me. 
I almost started to believe that spirits lived in the room, suffocating me at night – and that my cat could see them. Eventually, I went back to the doctor. This time, the examination was more thorough, and at last it turned out: I had thyroid problems. When I shared this story, many acquaintances nodded: cats often sense the sick spot in a person. Some even believe their biofields can relieve pain or at least give warning.
And I thought: maybe that’s exactly what happened. Perhaps my cat wasn’t trying to scare me – but to save me. Now I see it in a completely different light. And every time it lies down beside me and starts purring again, I feel not fear, but gratitude.
