Woman Gave Birth to Twins – The Next Morning, Two Black Baby Blankets Arrived, and Her 82-Year-Old Grandmother Burst Into Tears

When my daughter gave birth to twin girls after six years of trying, our family was overjoyed. But the next morning, two mysterious black baby blankets arrived.

Each had a silver star embroidered in one corner.

My 82-year-old mother saw them and burst into tears.

“Don’t take those to the hospital!” she begged.

Then my phone rang.

A stranger whispered, “Ask your mother what happened to the other baby.”

I froze.

Mom finally confessed something she’d hidden for 55 years.

I had a twin sister.

When we were born, my parents were struggling financially. They allowed relatives to adopt one baby, believing they couldn’t raise us both.

My sister, originally named Anna, had grown up as Claire.

Worse, she’d contacted Mom six months earlier, but Mom had been too frightened to tell me.

Claire had sent the blankets to celebrate Emily’s twins, believing I already knew about her.

Then another secret emerged.

For years, Mom had written Claire countless letters, begging to see her. But Claire’s adoptive mother had hidden every letter.

My sister had grown up believing she’d been unwanted.

We finally met at a coffee shop. Seeing my own face reflected in hers brought tears to my eyes.

Days later, Claire visited Emily and her newborn daughters.

Our family had been missing someone for 55 years.

This time, we welcomed her home.
