She is joining fellow influencer Stacey Solomon on the trip for the brand SpaceNK.
The ITV source that spoke to the Daily Mail confirmed when she would be arriving in the jungle, however, saying: “She will be arriving this week, the brand trip was always part of the schedule as Maura had agreed to it and it fit into her arrival dates for the Jungle.”
They also stated that her arrival was ‘imminent’.

The former Love Islander was added to the roster for this year after Tommy Fury pulled out of a planned appearance.
According to insiders who spoke to The Sun, this opened up the space for another member of the ITV reality show to go into the jungle.
Higgins will join a host of celebrities in the jungle as this year’s edition of I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here is full of big names.
The biggest name – and highest-paid star – is Coleen Rooney, a.k.a Wagatha Christie.

In addition is Danny Jones of McFly, boxing legend Barry McGuigan, N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, and Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse.
The first episode has already seen several stand out moments, with Coleen being subjected to a Wagatha Christie joke almost immediately.
In addition to this, one particular moment that stood out to viewers saw Danny Jones being forced to call in producers after a snake crawled into his trousers.

Is Maura going into the jungle or not?

A couple of weeks ago, it was revealed that the former Love Island star, 33, would be taking part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! along with the likes of Coleen Rooney, GK Barry and Tulisa.
But while most of the celebs are now in Australia ready to head into camp, people noticed that Maura has been on a work trip in Las Vegas.
It’s even led to people wondering if she’s quit the jungle.
“Are you going in I’m a celeb still?” One fan asked.
And another said: “Should you not be in Australia right now.”
So what’s happening? Is Maura heading into camp after all?
Well, according to The Sun, the former islander *is* going into the jungle, but will be a late addition along with Reverend Richard Coles.
It’s reported the pair will enter camp one week in.
It makes sense then that Maura has been enjoying her last few days before heading into camp, where she’ll be sleeping on a hammock, taking part in brutal challenges and eating rice and beans.
In fact, after sharing a photo of a huge spread of hotel food on her social media, one follower joked: “Making the most of it before the jungle.”
And another said: “Make the most it before those rice and beans haha can’t wait to watch I’m a celeb.”
“Fill up before the jungle,” said a third.

If Maura does enter the jungle, she could be set for an awkward reunion with her ex’s dad.
Before she made her name in TV, Maura worked as a ring girl for several professional boxers including the likes of Anthony Joshua.
During that time, she got together with boxing coach Shane McGuigan when he was commentating on a match in 2018.
Things didn’t quite work out between the pair though, reportedly due to the distance with Maura living in Ireland and travelling for work while McGuigan was based in London.
While he might not be heading into the jungle to go on I’m a Celeb, his dad, Barry McGuigan is.

And with that comes the typical Bushtucker Trials, the meals of rice and beans, and, apparently, the absolute need to wear red socks.
Yep, according to a medic on the ITV show, there’s a pretty grim reason why the likes of Coleen Rooney and Maura Higgins will be wearing the thick things when I’m A Celeb starts this weekend.
They’ll also be joined by stars such as Melvin Odoom, GK Barry, and Oti Mabuse in this year’s whopper line-up.
The red socks are a must. (ITV)
Every year, the celebs wear those classic outfits, but it turns out the red socks aren’t necessarily just a uniform thing.
Bob McCarron worked on the show for years before hanging up his stethoscope, and he previously told Woman’s Own that the socks are actually to cover up blood splatters from the many and varied blood-sucking critters that live in the jungle.
Basically, one of the pitfalls of being on the show is that you will get bitten, you will pick up cuts and bruises, and the crew simply don’t want the celebs to look too much like they’ve been through the wars.
Brutal.
Also donning the red socks and appearing on the show this year are McFly star Danny Jones, Corrie actor Alan Halsall, and Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough.
Tulisa will also be making her TV comeback by taking part in I’m A Celeb as she returns following a long health battle.

Apparently, Tulisa has been approached for the show for a while, but ‘she’s never wanted to consider it’. But now, a decade since she left The X Factor, and off the back of an N-Dubz tour, it seems like the right time.
Before it was officially confirmed who was appearing in the show, TikToker GK Barry told reporters in Australia she was there ‘to go to a retreat’ and just be at ‘one with nature’.
McCullough comically said he was Down Under to ‘pick up two koalas’ he’s adopted, named ‘Anthony and Declan’.
The BBC Radio 1 DJ was asked if he’d be worried about any snakes or spiders, and responded: “I’m alright, I have dealt with enough snakes in my life. It’s not the snakes you need to be worried about.”
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! starts on Sunday 17 September at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
